We have been busy working with local schools and our amazing Art Gymers to explore the question:
“What is the Hullabaloo?”
Through chatting with each other, with Janice our Creative Director and the huge imagination, the children brought their own Hullabaloos to life.
Huge thanks to Bookwell Primary School, Moresby Primary School & Montreal School
More about the Project
Mid-Winter Hullabaloo is a new creative project rooted in play, curiosity, and experimentation. Co-created with local communities, it celebrates people and place - weaving together music, folklore, and time-honoured customs to spark new traditions for the future.
Working alongside the communities of Moresby, Cleator Moor, and Egremont, the Hullabaloo captures the spirit of travelling fairs and carnivals - bringing light, warmth, and togetherness to the darker winter months.
The project will culminate in a weekend of community celebrations:
Friday 23 January – Moresby
Saturday 24 January – Egremont
Sunday 25 January – Cleator Moor
